The BosonMail SDK supports cc and bcc through the SendEmailBody object. Both fields accept a single email address as a string or multiple addresses as a string array. They are optional and can be combined with any to value.

To vs CC vs BCC

CC and BCC parameters

string | string[]
Carbon-copy recipients. Visible to all other recipients. Single address or array.
string | string[]
Blind carbon-copy recipients. Hidden from to and cc recipients. Single address or array.

Serialization

Like to, cc and bcc arrays are joined into strings before transmission: Single string values are passed as-is.

Examples

Single CC recipient

Multiple BCC recipients

Combined To, CC, and BCC

CC and BCC with attachments

When attachments are present, the request becomes multipart and all recipient arrays are joined with , :

Privacy notes

  • BCC recipients are not visible to To or CC recipients, but they can see the To and CC lists.
  • The BosonMail API may still log BCC addresses for delivery and compliance purposes.
  • For bulk email where no recipient should see any other address, send individual emails rather than using BCC. See Multiple recipients for the individual-send pattern.
  • Emails sent through the SDK are likely subject to your plan’s outbound allowance. Confirm with BosonWare whether API sends count toward the 500 emails per inbox per month.
Do not use BCC to circumvent anti-spam policies or send unsolicited bulk email. BosonWare may enforce rate limits or account restrictions. The exact limits are not published; contact support@bosonware.com for details.
